Double Scramble
Leo Villareal

Year: 2013, 2015

Parallel Development engineered and fabricated Leo Villareal’s Double Scramble for Art Basel Miami in Fall, 2013. The piece consists of 18 LED tiles, 16×16 pixels each, a metal frame, and plexiglass for diffusion. The controller is a custom-designed computer named “Rosie”—an open-source embedded multimedia platform that Parallel engineered and refined over several projects. Double Scramble was designed and fabricated in three weeks, custom LED boards and all.
